The Star Trac S Series Cross Trainer Elliptical delivers smooth full-body low-impact cardio with dual-action handlebars, forward and reverse stride, natural stride path, and commercial-grade construction on a 337 lb frame — dual-action handlebars are mechanically linked to the pedals and move through the full stride arc, engaging the chest, back, and shoulders simultaneously with the lower body. The distinction between a cross trainer and a standard elliptical is this active handlebar engagement: on a fixed-handlebar elliptical the arms are static and the upper body contribution is zero; on a cross trainer the arms push and pull through the full range producing meaningful upper body cardiovascular and muscular demand. Forward stride produces glute and hamstring-dominant loading; reverse stride shifts emphasis to the quadriceps and hip flexors, allowing both anterior and posterior leg musculature to be targeted within the same session by alternating direction. The S Series produces a smooth stride feel at 337 lb — lighter than the SCTx but still commercial grade.

Intuitive console with workout tracking. Compact 76" × 30" footprint for flexible gym placement. 337 lb Star Trac S Series commercial frame. Remanufactured.

Dual-Action Handlebars · Forward & Reverse Stride · Full-Body
Mechanically linked handlebars move through the full stride arc — engaging chest, back, and shoulders simultaneously with the lower body. This is what distinguishes a cross trainer from a fixed-handlebar elliptical: active upper body cardiovascular and muscular demand throughout the session. Forward stride is glute and hamstring-dominant; reverse stride shifts to quads and hip flexors for anterior leg emphasis.
Natural Stride Path · Commercial Frame · Workout Tracking
Natural stride path keeps ankle, knee, and hip in their natural kinematic relationship throughout the arc — low-impact cardiovascular loading without the impact spikes of running. Commercial-grade 337 lb frame handles high-traffic use. Intuitive console with workout tracking for structured cardio sessions.

1. How do total-body ellipticals engage the upper body?

Moving handles sync with pedals to work arms, shoulders, and core.

2. What power requirements exist?

Most total-body ellipticals are self generated, while others require a standard 110 V outlet. None require a 20 amp outlet.

3. How often should I lubricate the machine?

Apply a light silicone lubricant to moving components every 6 months.

4. What financing and warranty options apply?

Same financing as all other cardio; new units carry full OEM warranty, remanufactured include Build A Gym's 1 year guarantee. Extended warranties available at checkout.
