The Precor EFX 885 Total Body Elliptical delivers Converging CrossRamp® (10°–35°), moving handlebars for full-body engagement, 20 resistance levels, 22 preset workouts, P82 15" LCD capacitive touchscreen with media and charging, and 120V/15-amp dedicated circuit — 340 lb commercial frame, 80"×28" footprint. The EFX 885 and EFX 685 share the same frame, CrossRamp® range, moving handlebars, 20 resistance levels, 22 programs, and P82 console — the specification that distinguishes the 885 is the 15-amp dedicated circuit requirement versus the standard 120V outlet that the 685 draws on. A dedicated 15-amp circuit means the machine is wired to its own breaker — no other equipment or outlets share the circuit — which is the electrical configuration appropriate for machines with higher peak draw during motorized ramp transitions and console operation. On a commercial floor where multiple pieces of equipment share panel circuits, putting the EFX 885 on a dedicated circuit isolates its electrical demand from neighboring treadmills and cardio equipment, preventing the voltage sag that causes motorized ramp hesitation and console resets during peak facility hours. The P82 15" capacitive touchscreen responds to light finger contact rather than deliberate pressure — the same touch experience during active striding that distinguishes the TRM 885 P80 from resistive-input consoles. Media, workout tracking, and device charging complete the P82 feature set.

Converging CrossRamp® geometry narrows pedal spacing at higher ramp angles to match the natural convergence of the running stride. 340 lb Precor EFX 885 commercial frame, 80"×28" footprint, dedicated 120V/15A circuit required. Remanufactured.

Moving Handlebars · Converging CrossRamp® 10°–35° — Total Body + Ramp Intervals
Moving handlebars engage chest, back, and shoulders simultaneously with the lower body — distributing cardiovascular demand across more muscle mass at the same resistance setting. Converging CrossRamp® enables mid-session ramp changes from 10° (quad-dominant) through 35° (glute and posterior chain-dominant), creating lower-body interval protocols that compound with the upper body engagement of the handlebars.
P82 15" Capacitive Touchscreen · 22 Programs · Media & Charging
P82 15" LCD capacitive touchscreen responds to light finger contact during active striding — no deliberate pressure required. Media playback, workout tracking, and device charging built in. 22 preset workouts cover interval, heart rate, and performance-based training. The dedicated 15-amp circuit isolates the machine's electrical demand from neighboring equipment, preventing voltage sag during motorized ramp transitions and peak facility hours.

1. How do total-body ellipticals engage the upper body?

Moving handles sync with pedals to work arms, shoulders, and core.

2. What power requirements exist?

Most total-body ellipticals are self generated, while others require a standard 110 V outlet. None require a 20 amp outlet.

3. How often should I lubricate the machine?

Apply a light silicone lubricant to moving components every 6 months.

4. What financing and warranty options apply?

Same financing as all other cardio; new units carry full OEM warranty, remanufactured include Build A Gym's 1 year guarantee. Extended warranties available at checkout.
