Weight Plates Not Included. This is a plate-loaded machine. Olympic weight plates are sold separately and are not included with purchase

The Precor Discovery Series Plate Loaded Incline Press delivers plate-loaded incline pressing with a precision angled press arm, adjustable seat height, advanced bearings, integrated storage horns, and heavy-duty Discovery commercial steel — 450 lb machine, Olympic plates not included, 43"×67" footprint. The incline press angle is the training specification that distinguishes this machine from the Discovery Plate Loaded Chest Press: the inclined pressing surface shifts the primary loading from the mid-sternum pectoralis (flat press) to the clavicular head of the pectoralis major and the anterior deltoids. The upper pectoral fibers run diagonally from the clavicle to the humerus — a flat press path does not fully recruit them because the line of force runs at the wrong angle relative to those fibers; an incline press aligns the press direction with their fiber orientation, producing greater activation of the upper chest that flat pressing cannot replicate regardless of load. This makes the plate-loaded incline press the machine for users whose upper chest development is lagging behind their mid-chest — a common asymmetry in people whose primary pressing has been flat bench or flat selectorized chest press. Plate-loaded resistance provides unlimited progressive loading above any selectorized stack ceiling, appropriate for the incline press where a 200–240 lb selectorized limit is often reached by intermediate to advanced users on a movement that the upper pec and anterior delt can absorb more than that. Precision angled press arm and advanced bearings produce smooth guided movement. Adjustable seat height positions the shoulder correctly relative to the press arm pivot for users of different torso lengths.

Integrated storage horns for on-machine plate organization. 450 lb Precor Discovery commercial incline press frame, 43"×67" footprint. Weight plates not included. Remanufactured.

Incline Angle — Upper Pec Fiber Alignment Flat Pressing Can't Replicate
Clavicular pectoral fibers run diagonally from the collarbone to the humerus — a flat press force direction does not align with those fibers regardless of load. The incline press direction aligns with the clavicular head's fiber orientation for greater upper pec activation. Paired with plate-loaded progressive loading, this machine addresses the upper chest development gap that flat-press-primary training typically produces.
Plate-Loaded · Adj. Seat · Advanced Bearings · Storage Horns
Plate-loaded resistance exceeds selectorized stack ceilings — the incline press is a movement intermediate and advanced users can load above the 200–240 lb range where commercial selectorized stacks typically stop. Adjustable seat positions the shoulder at the correct height relative to the press arm pivot for users of different torso lengths. Advanced bearings produce smooth guided movement. Integrated storage horns keep loading plates on the machine frame.
