The Precor AMT-12 835 Adaptive Motion Trainer delivers Open Stride user-defined stride length for seamless transitions between walking, running, and climbing, self-powered operation for flexible placement, low-impact full-body engagement, and P30 console — 445 lb commercial frame, 74"×28" footprint. The AMT is a fundamentally different machine category from an elliptical: an elliptical constrains the foot to a fixed oval arc determined by the machine's crank geometry, and any stride length adjustment on an elliptical changes the arc size but still constrains the foot to a predetermined path. The AMT's Open Stride technology removes the path constraint entirely — the foot pedals move freely in response to how the user moves, not how the machine dictates. A short, quick stride pattern produces a running-like gait; a long, slow stride with high knee lift produces a stair-climbing gait; a mid-length stride at moderate cadence produces a walking gait — all on the same machine, selected by the user's natural movement pattern rather than a ramp setting or stride adjustment control. This means the AMT can train walking, running, and climbing biomechanics in a single session without stopping to reconfigure the machine. Self-powered operation generates its own electricity from user movement — no power cord or outlet required — which allows the AMT to be placed anywhere on the floor without routing power, a practical commercial advantage on large or reconfigured training floors. The 445 lb commercial frame is substantially heavier than the 340 lb EFX ellipticals, reflecting the more complex mechanical system required for unconstrained stride adaptation.

P30 console delivers essential workout metrics with clear, user-friendly interface. Low-impact joint-friendly design for sustained training across all stride patterns. 445 lb Precor AMT-12 835 commercial frame, 74"×28" footprint. Remanufactured.
