Product details

Commercial-grade equipment, inspected and supported by warranty.

The Cybex Prestige Series 45° Back Extension uses a 45-degree angled pad with adjustable leg hold-down pads and an ergonomic hip pad — the 45° angle reduces gravitational load at the start of the extension compared to a 90° Roman chair, producing a more controlled range that reduces the tendency to hyperextend the lumbar at the top. The ergonomic hip pad distributes contact force across the hip rather than concentrating it on a narrow point, and adjustable leg hold-downs accommodate users of different heights for correct hip hinge positioning.

Bodyweight back extensions, glute-ham raises, and core stabilization work on a 106 lb commercial Prestige frame in a compact 58" × 30" footprint. Remanufactured.

45° Angle — Controlled Posterior Chain Extension
The 45° angle reduces gravitational load at the start of the extension compared to a 90° Roman chair — producing a more manageable, controlled range that reduces lumbar hyperextension tendency at the top and makes the movement appropriate for both strength development and rehabilitation work.
Ergonomic Hip Pad & Adjustable Leg Hold-Downs
The ergonomic hip pad distributes contact force across the hip rather than concentrating it on a narrow pressure point — important during high-rep sets and weighted extensions. Adjustable leg hold-down pads accommodate different user heights for correct hip hinge positioning and stable extension mechanics.
