The ProMaxima Belt Squat delivers heavy plate-loaded lower body training with zero spinal compression — 2"×3" 11-gauge steel frame, double-sealed radial bearings, custom rubber-grip handles, and Olympic plate compatibility. The belt squat is the only squat variation that applies resistance through a hip belt rather than a barbell across the shoulders or back — which means the compressive load of the weight travels down through the hips and legs without passing through the lumbar spine at all. For athletes who want to train squat patterns at heavy loads but cannot tolerate barbell back squat spinal compression — due to disc issues, post-surgical limitations, or accumulated lumbar fatigue from other training — the belt squat provides the full quad, glute, and hamstring training stimulus without the spinal loading. The squat mechanics on a belt squat are also naturally more upright than a back squat: because the load pulls from the hips rather than pushing from the shoulders, the torso stays more vertical through the descent, which shifts more of the loading emphasis toward the quadriceps. Double-sealed radial bearings at all pivot points produce smooth, consistent motion under heavy loads with no binding or friction increase as weight increases.

Olympic plate compatible — no resistance ceiling. Custom rubber-grip handles for control during heavy sets. Powder-coat finish for lasting durability. 400 lb ProMaxima commercial frame, 76" × 58" footprint. Remanufactured.

Spinal Decompression Design — Heavy Squat Loading Without Spinal Compression
Resistance applied through a hip belt rather than a barbell — load travels through the hips and legs without passing through the lumbar spine. Enables full quad, glute, and hamstring training stimulus at heavy loads for athletes who cannot tolerate barbell back squat spinal compression. Naturally upright torso position also shifts loading emphasis toward the quadriceps compared to a back squat.
Double-Sealed Radial Bearings · 11-Gauge 2"×3" Steel · Plate-Loaded
Double-sealed radial bearings at all pivot points maintain smooth, consistent motion under heavy loads with no binding or friction increase as weight increases. 2"×3" 11-gauge steel frame — the same structural specification as commercial power racks — for long-term stability under competitive training loads. Olympic plate compatible with no resistance ceiling.
