The Precor EFX 761 Total Body Elliptical combines a patented stride path, fixed 20° ramp, moving handlebars, 1.5" minimum pedal spacing, 21" stride length, P62 touchscreen console, and 350 lb user capacity on a 280 lb commercial frame — the fixed 20° ramp angle is the biomechanical specification that differentiates the EFX 761 from adjustable-ramp ellipticals. At 20°, Precor's research found the optimal balance between quadriceps and glute activation: a flatter ramp shifts more loading toward the quads (closer to a cycling motion), while a steeper ramp shifts more toward the glutes and hamstrings (closer to a stair-climbing motion). By fixing the ramp at 20° rather than making it adjustable, Precor commits the machine to a specific biomechanical outcome — balanced posterior and anterior leg loading — rather than leaving it to user preference. The patented stride path technology governs the oval arc the foot travels through the stride cycle, keeping the ankle, knee, and hip in their natural kinematic relationship at every point. Minimum pedal spacing of 1.5" is narrow by commercial elliptical standards — most commercial units run 2" to 3" — which allows users to stride in a closer-to-midline path, reducing the lateral hip sway that wide-spaced pedals produce.

P62 touchscreen console for workout tracking, program selection, and entertainment. 16"×8" spacious foot pedals. 8" step-up height. 280 lb Precor commercial frame, 80"×28" footprint, 350 lb user capacity. Remanufactured.

Fixed 20° Ramp · Patented Stride Path · Balanced Quad/Glute Loading
Fixed 20° ramp is Precor's researched optimum for balanced quad and glute activation — flatter angles shift toward quad dominance, steeper toward glute/hamstring dominance. Fixing the ramp commits to a specific biomechanical outcome rather than leaving balance to user preference. Patented stride path technology maintains natural ankle, knee, and hip kinematics through the full stride arc.
1.5" Pedal Spacing · 21" Stride · Moving Handlebars
1.5" minimum pedal spacing is narrow by commercial standards — most run 2"–3" — allowing a closer-to-midline stride path that reduces lateral hip sway produced by wide-spaced pedals. 21" stride length accommodates a full natural walking and jogging stride. Moving handlebars engage chest, back, and shoulders simultaneously with the lower body for complete cardiovascular demand.
P62 Touchscreen Console · 350 lb Capacity · 16"×8" Pedals
P62 touchscreen console delivers intuitive workout tracking, program selection, and entertainment — a full interactive interface rather than a basic LED readout. Spacious 16"×8" foot pedals accommodate a wide range of foot sizes and shoe widths. 350 lb user weight capacity and 8" step-up height for accessible commercial use.

1. How do total-body ellipticals engage the upper body?

Moving handles sync with pedals to work arms, shoulders, and core.

2. What power requirements exist?

Most total-body ellipticals are self generated, while others require a standard 110 V outlet. None require a 20 amp outlet.

3. How often should I lubricate the machine?

Apply a light silicone lubricant to moving components every 6 months.

4. What financing and warranty options apply?

Same financing as all other cardio; new units carry full OEM warranty, remanufactured include Build A Gym's 1 year guarantee. Extended warranties available at checkout.
