The Life Fitness Insignia Series Shoulder Press uses independent converging arms that produce a natural overhead pressing motion — 200 lb heavy stack, 300 lb max user. Independent converging arms are the defining biomechanical feature: each arm moves toward the centerline as it rises, matching the natural path the hands follow during a dumbbell overhead press — converging slightly inward through the top of the press rather than travelling straight up. This follows the line of force production of the deltoid through shoulder abduction and reduces the shoulder impingement risk that straight vertical press machines create by forcing an anatomically awkward path. Independent arms also require each side to produce its own force without the stronger side compensating, exposing and correcting left-to-right pressing imbalances. Insignia Series large-diameter yellow adjustment dials with rubber grips and counterbalanced articulating seat make user setup fast and accessible.

This unit is equipped with the 200 lb heavy weight stack. 657 lb Life Fitness Insignia commercial frame, 64.4" × 56.8" footprint. Remanufactured.

Independent Converging Arms — Natural Overhead Press Path
Each arm converges slightly inward through the top of the press — matching the natural path of the hands during a dumbbell overhead press and following the line of force production of the deltoid through shoulder abduction. Straight vertical press machines force an anatomically awkward path that increases shoulder impingement risk; converging arms follow the shoulder's natural mechanics. Independent arms expose and correct left-to-right pressing imbalances.
Insignia Series Adjustability · Yellow Dials · Articulating Seat
Large-diameter yellow adjustment dials with rubber gripping surfaces are identifiable at a glance and operable one-handed. Counterbalanced articulating seat adjusts at an angle for optimum positioning across a wide range of user sizes — a seated adjustment that doesn't require lifting body weight against spring resistance.
