The Cybex Eagle NX Abdominal uses a smooth cam-driven resistance system with a contoured lumbar pad and gas-spring seat adjustment — the cam profile shapes the resistance curve to match the abdominal strength curve through the crunch arc, providing appropriate loading at each point in the movement rather than a fixed resistance that is either too light at the start or too heavy at peak contraction. The contoured lumbar pad maintains spinal alignment through the crunch, and gas-spring seat adjustment allows fast, effortless height changes between users.
